Iraq – 40 days after assassination of Al-Hashemi … Demands for protection of Iraqi elites

A number of journalists and activists in Erbil governorate organized a protest to pay tribute to the security expert Hisham Al-Hashemi, 40 days after he was assassinated in front of his home by unknown persons.The participants in the memorial service demanded that the state strike with an iron fist to retaliate against the killers of Al-Hashemi, and to prevent the repetition of such assassinations against the Iraqi elites and opinion-holders in the country.
