Lebanon – Popular attack on Hezbollah over its decision to prevent a negotiation with the U.S ambassador
Beirut – Lebanon 01/07/2020
Following a Lebanese court ruling banning the local media from talking to the U.S. ambassador following statements accusing Hezbollah of “preventing economic reforms needed by the Lebanese economy,” analysts pointed out that the judicial ruling was not issued under the Lebanese law but by an order of Hezbollah, pointing out that it is popularly rejected as it is contrary to the existing democracy in the country and an attempt by the party to drag Lebanon to the axis of Syria and Iran, they also noted the validity of what the U.S. ambassador spoke about the economic damage that occurred as a result of Hezbollah’s attack on countries that provide aid to Lebanon, led by the United States and the Arab Gulf states.
