Iraq – The nearness of the Iranian border causes the numbers of coronavirus patients to increase in Sulaimaniyah

The proximity of the border sought by some Iraqi provinces, particularly the Province of Sulaimaniyah in the Kurdistan region of Neighbouring Iran, is the reason for the increasing number of cases of coronavirus in those areas bordering Iran, the director of health of Penjwin district, Khalid Abdullah, confirmed that there is great concern on the part of the health authorities and the people of Sulaimaniyah because of the great petition and social and commercial relations with a its neighbor Iran, which was the cause of the outbreak of the coronavirus in the region, Abdullah added that the territorial authority has no official control over the official and unofficial border between Iraq and Iran, the people of Penjwin sought all citizens to follow preventive measures and wear medical masks and gloves while dealing with Iranian visitors, merchants and drivers.
