Iraq: A campaign for the reconstruction of Sinjar.

The alliance of civic organizations in Kurdistan launched a campaign entitled “Together to reconstruct Sinjar” for the reconstruction of Sinjar through the international support crowd and the international organizations and the involvement of the private sector and forming a Board of Trustees for the campaign to oversee the efforts of collecting and disbursement of funds, the campaign is also targeting companies and factories to urge them to open a branch in Sinjar.
The Coalition of Civic Organizations in Kurdistan launched a campaign entitled “together to reconstruct Sinjar” for the reconstruction of Sinjar through the international support crowd and the international organizations and the involvement of the private sector the owners of capital, and forming a Board of Trustees for the campaign to oversee the efforts of collection and disbursement of funds, and other commissions to promote the campaign and collect donations in seven Iraqi provinces. The campaign also targeted companies and factories to urge them to open a branch in Sinjar regarding agriculture and livestock projects where the city is characterized as an agricultural city.
Sinjar in the west of Mosul with Yazidi majority, suffers of a huge destruction due to the control of ISIS on the city in August 2014, as it destroyed many of the buildings, religious sites and service institutions, and caused the displacement and killing of its people, and the captivity of their wives.
Sinjar residents still live in camps despite the liberation of their city because of not being able to return to the liberated city that suffers from neglect by the Iraqi government.
