Tunisia – Mobile field hospital set up to tackle coronavirus

As a proactive step to prepare for the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic, the Ministry of Health has established a mobile emergency hospital in one of the sports halls in the Sports City of Tunis with the aim of using it in emergency situations, and this field hospital is the first of its kinds and it has been completed in 21 days by the Ministries of Health, Defense and Sports and a number of civil society organizations. The emergency hospital has a capacity of 150 beds, according to WHO specifications, it should be noted that the hospital can be easily relocated to different places and installed, highlighting its importance in providing health services in case of emergency or when a second wave of the epidemic occurs.
