Tunisia – Craftsmen call on government to help them after suffering financial losses

The capital Tunis began to ease the quarantine and curfew imposed in the country, and some economic sectors returned their normal activity after nearly two months of nationwide curfew, in order to reduce the social and living effects on the country, such as the worsening of unemployment and increased poverty, where shops in the old city opened their doors and professionals and craftsmen began to work, after they suffered a lot of material damage as a result of the closure and ban imposed to face the crisis of the Coronavirus, the craftsmen pointed out that the decision to open shops and easing restrictions will not solve the crisis for them, especially since their work depends in particular on tourists and foreigners, demanding that the government intervene and rescue the country’s trades, professions and traditional industries.
