Bahrain – Ruling out the option of an U.S. military attack against Iran for the time being
Manama – Bahrain 08/04/2020
The Secretary-General of the Arab Parliamentary Initiative, Jamal Bouhassan, ruled out Washington’s launch of a military attack at the moment against Tehran in view of the current circumstances related to the outbreak of coronavirus in the world, as well as the approaching American elections and the promises of President Trump made during his campaign to close all military bases abroad and return all soldiers to American territory, Bouhassan attributed the escalation of the war of words between the two parties in the recent attempt to extend control of the territorial waters in the Gulf, indicating that Iran is trying to gain control of the territorial waters in the Arabian Gulf, indicating that Iran is trying to win the national public opinion with ineffectual skirmishes while the United States wants to smooth trade in that region for it own interests.
