Tunisia – Division between parties over how the president deals with the selection of the next prime minister

After overthrowing the government of Prime Minister AlHabib Aljameeli, who was nominated by Ennahda party which got the highest percentage of votes in the parliamentary elections, Tunisian President Qais Said asked the parties to submit their written proposals on who they see best able to form a government without entering direct consultations with him, which divided the opinions of the parties into two parts, some of them expressed confidence in the choices of the President of the Republic and his team of advisers to choose a personality on which the parties agree on, and some of them expressed concerns about the way the President of the Republic deals with the parties, wishing that the choice of the next prime minister would be based on direct consultation between the President of the Republic and the parties.
