Tunisia- Women harvest olives in Beja

The olive harvest season started in the region of Toukaber in the state of Beja at the northwest of the country, which is characterized by the work of women without men in harvesting olives and collecting the crop amid a festive atmosphere mixed with songs and heritage songs for what  this season represents as a source of livelihood for the olive cultivated land owners and workers, Tunisia is the most famous of the countries in the southern Mediterranean region in the field of olive cultivation, where it contains 88 million olive trees spread all over 800 thousand hectares, which reflects the importance of this fruit in reviving the Tunisian economy.
