The border villages bordering the Turkish state became almost completely empty after Turkey announced the start of its military operations in northeastern Syria, located north of the city of Tarbesbeya (Qahtania) and inhabited by citizens of the Yazidi and Christian community as well as villages inhabited by Kurds, including a village named Shalhoumia, which is inhabited by a mixture of Kurds and Christians and has been abandoned by most of its inhabitants and there are only some people left to guard their homes, as the village of Tal Khatunki, which is inhabited by Yazidis, has become almost empty and those who remained are preparing to move away from it.
