Women in Baidoa city, Bay province, southern Somalia, face several challenges in completing their education, most notably forced early marriage, it was widespread during al-Shabaab’s takeover of the city, which made them mothers at an early age and forced them to drop out of their educational institutions, as well as the issue of gender discrimination against females and their inability to pay school fees due to the growing poverty in the country.
