Somalia – Zamzam University transfers expertise to Baidoa farmers to encourage them to return to their land

After the blockage of a Baidoa water spring and the transformation of its sewers into a public dumpster and a car wash, dozens of farmers left their land and went to Helgen camp, located on the outskirts of Baidoa, the capital of Bay province in southern Somalia, with the aim of obtaining humanitarian assistance, in its turn,  Zamzam University of Science and Technology has implemented a new agricultural system that consumes less water and provides abundant production in order to restore life to the territory and encourage farmers to return to their land.
