Somalia – U.S. airstrikes force thousands of civilians to flee

The United States air strikes on Al-Shabaab movement sites forced thousands of civilians to flee from their homes in Burari village in the Lower Shabelle to the Lemoly camp in the capital of Magadishu due to fear of persecution for their lives and properties. A number of displaced people called on aid agencies to provide basic necessities for them.
