Bahrain – Calls to support and participate in the American initiative to secure the Gulf waterways from the “Iranian aggressions”

A meeting of twenty-four countries representatives was held at the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in the Bahraini capital of Manama on Wednesday, to discuss ways of protecting the waterways in the Gulf region from Iranian attacks. The meeting discussed the US new initiative to secure international waterways and protecting the navigation in the Gulf by forming a military force. The force will work to protect the oil tankers, commercial vessels and tourism from the Iranian attacks.  Analysts warned against participating in the European plan, which will allow the Iranians to do more attacks on tanker and will cause great damage to the navigation, and pointed out that participants in the American initiative will protect their interests in the Gulf region from any future attack carried by the Iran.
