Palestine – The first accessible beach for people with disabilities opens in Gaza

 Gaza Municipality opened the first accessible beach for people with disabilities under the name of “Sawa Beach”, becoming the first project of its kind in Palestine, since the area used to lack a sea area that’s suitable for usage by disabled individuals, the beach includes all facilities for people with disabilities, starting with a garage made especially for wheelchairs, a small basketball court, a 60-metre wooden walk to the beach that enables the disabled to reach the sea water freely without anyone’s help, as well as the toilets that were made to suit all kinds of disabilities, in addition to allocating eight workers with disabilities and five workers without any disability to facilitate communication and coordination with visitors.
