Jordan: Closure of the Global Summit for women in parliament
The Jordanian House of Representatives concluded on Thursday the events of the Global Forum for women in the parliaments of 2016. The closing carried the theme “Women in Politics … progress at a vigorous pace” with the participation of 260 parliamentary and political leadership from 89 countries.
Under the title of ‘women in politics ..progress at a vigorous pace’ the Global Forum summit for women in the parliaments of 2016 concluded its activities with the participation of 260 parliamentary and political leadership of 89 countries, the conference aims to create channels of communication between women parliamentarians to discuss the world’s most prominent issues.
The event discussed many issues concerning the role of women and the importance of its presence in the leadership in various aspects of life.
It is worth to mention that the summit forum of women parliamentarians is taking the Swiss capital, Zurich as its base, its activities are being held for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa.
