The coordinator of the fishermen’s committees in the Gaza Strip, Zakaria Bakr, confirmed that the Israeli forces’ policy of detaining and confiscating fishermen’s boats that many Palestinian families have been getting an income from for a long time at the Israeli port of Esdod in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as arrests, killings and clashes against Fishermen, are one of the most dangerous methods followed by Israel, adding that in case those boats were returned after years they would be unfit for use, Bakr indicated that the occupying forces have approximately 65 boats that have not been released until now, yesterday, Israeli army forces released a vessel confiscated from the sea of the Gaza Strip since 2000, allowing it to be entered through the Karam Abusalim crossing in the southern part of the strip, the Israeli authorities issued a decision to return 20 Palestinian fishing boats to the Gaza Strip within the next 24 hours, with the aim of reducing the risk in which Israeli soldiers may be exposed to the in prospect of being shot on the shores of Gaza, the move has came in light of the renewed understandings on the truce that was concluded between Israel and Hamas last weekend, in which Israel made a fishing space available of  15 nautical miles.
