Tunisia – International Symposium on Engineering and food security in Africa

The Tunisian capital hosted the International Symposium on “Engineering and food security in Africa”, organized by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations in cooperation with the Secretariat of Tunisian engineers, with the participation of 300 African, Arab and international representatives from engineering bodies and regional organizations. In addition to the participation of a number of international experts, the symposium presented several files submitted by various African and Arab engineering bodies, with the aim of developing recommendations and proposals to serve the process of African food security, and to draw the attention of the world that the UN and international effort to save the African continent from the spectre of hunger is not limited to financial assistance only, but includes scientific and practical support and conveying successful experiences to save the coming generations from the spectre of hunger, as well as the contribution of various engineering disciplines to the development of agriculture in Africa.
