Somalia – Somali displaced women turn to tailoring jobs to support their families

Somalia’s major challenges and difficult economic conditions have forced many displaced women to enter the labour market to earn money, manage their families conditions, and overcome the difficult living conditions they face, some of the displaced have been able to master and work in some professions, such as tailoring that some considered to be a masculine profession, they confirmed that they had full knowledge of the tailoring profession, and that they sew different types of dresses such as jalabiyas and school uniforms for students.
