Somalia – After liberating Bariire… Somali government vows to liberate Al Shabaab-controlled areas

Bariire – Lower Shabelle Region – Somalia  25/05/2019

Somali government forces recently took control of the town of Bariire in lower Shabelle province, southern Somalia, after it was able to defeat Al Shabaab as part of its procedures to liberate all areas under the control of the movement, which still controls some areas in southern and central Somalia, Deputy Defense Minister of the Somali Government, Abdullah Alad Robli, vowed to eliminate the movement and achieve stability in the region.
