Syria – Christians celebrate Easter in Qamishli

The Christians of Al-Qamishli city in Al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria celebrated the Easter holiday, which is one of the Christians’ most important holidays, where so many citizens head to churches in Al-Qamishli to perform their religious rituals as they pray that the war will come to an end in Syria. On this holiday, Christians also exchange family visits and eat Easter lunch together. The joint president of the Syriac Union Party, Sanharib Bursom, said that Easter symbolizes great things for all Christians, and he prayed that Syria will soon enjoy peace, and that the whole world will be filled with love and harmony.
