The Kurdish People’s Protection Units took control over “Allaya” prison of the Syrian regime in Qamishli in Hasaka Countryside, after violent clashes with the forces of the regime and what is known as National Defense groups.

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units were able to control more than one Syrian regime point including the automatic bakery in the region, In the same context People’s Protection Units expressed their readiness to repel any regime attacks and attacks on the important points, which is controlled by the regime. The Syrian regime forces gradually withdrew from the Kurdish-majority areas, with the expansion of the conflict in Syria in 2012, but retained the headquarters of government, administrative and some of the troops, especially in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli.
