UAE – UAE Launches the “Earth Hour” initiative

Emirates Nature launched the “Earth Hour” initiative in Dubai in the UAE in cooperation with the WWF to raise awareness in the importance of the environment, take action to preserve the biological diversity in light of the unprecedented decrease in its levels, inspire various sectors to adopt a responsible lifestyle with regards to saving electricity, water and natural resources and insuring sustainability for future generations. The “Earth Hour” event included a march that was participated in by hundreds of citizens and residents of the UAE. The city witnessed the turning off of Burj Khalifa lights in order to shed the light on the procedures that could be taken to preserve the environment
