Syria: Kurdish Heritage gallery

Kurdish heritage and folklore gallery was launched in city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria by Ahmed Sabri, one of the creators of the gallery, the exhibition highlights the history and heritage of the Kurdish people who lived in Syria centuries ago.

Handmade crafts such as corning ware pottery and ancient costumes, musical and agricultural machinery and many others are being displayed in the Kurdish Heritage Museum, located in the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria, and what increases the importance of the exhibition that these pieces were collected since 2004 from a number of Kurds who lived in Syria.

The exhibition tells the history and heritage of the Kurdish people in Syria through more than 1050 pieces, some of them are older than 500 years, it also carries Farhad Sabri name, one of those who were killed in Qamishli uprising in 2004 in his honor..
