Tunisia: International support for Libya meeting
Tunisian capital hosted on Tuesday a meeting at the senior staff level on the international support to Libya with the participation of 40 Arab and Western countries and representatives from 15 financial institutions, and regional and international organizations specialized in assisting the government of national reconciliation at all levels that responds to the aspirations of the Libyan people in security and stability and a decent life.

The aim of this meeting, which was organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, and the Embassy of Britain in Libya in cooperation with the Tunisian Foreign Ministry, is to confirm the support which is supposed to be submitted to the Libyans to reunite them and push them in the direction of achieving consensus, and the parties involved in the meeting discussed the need to provide support for Libya’s immediate priorities of the Government of Reconciliation of direct council functions and orientation to address security and economic conditions that prevailed in some cities in Libya, by offering a number of programs to support the Libyan economy at a time when the United Nations considers the need to adopt international coordination system to ensure the success of government action field in Libya.
