Libya: Government of National Accord’s efforts to cooperate with the Russian company and revive the railway project

Libya’s Government of National Accord is making a huge effort to cooperate again with foreign countries at various levels, and renovating the Benghazi-Sirte railway project, which was overseen by a Russian company, was one of the endeavors. The government’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Mohamed Sayala, said in a previous statement that this cooperation depends mainly on the security situation and the armed clashes that take place from time to time. For his part, the Information Department Director in the railway project stated that dialogues are taking place at the moment about re-cooperating with the Russian company and therefore finishing the railway project.
