Raqqa’s old markets have started receiving customers again after years of war. One of Raqqa’s oldest and most prominent market is Al-Quwatli Street, also known as the Arab Market, which is famous for selling everything related to the Arab heritage such as tents and brass ware. The residents of Raqqa explained that Al-Quwatli Street is different from the city’s other markets, as it is distinguished by its large size and by covering all the tools that all houses need, stressing that the heavy traffic in this market is a vibrant sign of normal life in the city.
