Syria – The basement “Al Qabo” makes it worse for a displaced family with disabilities
‘Azzaz – Northern Aleppo countryside – Syria 10/11/2018
After a long tough journey, a family of 15 people in which 6 of them have different types of disabilities and diseases managed to reach the city of ‘Azzaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo coming from Deir al-Zour to flee the random airstrikes and the war running between different sides. That didn’t relieve their suffering though. For more than a year, the family members have been living in a basement that doesn’t let the sunlight or fresh air inside. Family members appeal to the humanitarian organizations in charge to pay attention to their miserable conditions. This is not the only case; many refugees are also patients who can hardly survive these horrible conditions and they need an urgent medical care.
