Libya – Alarms sound over Humanitarian and health disaster in southern Libya
Kufra-Libya 16/10/2018
تKufra, Libya’s border city with Chad, is witnessing a significant decline in the health and humanitarian situation, just like many Libyan cities, due to the 7-year-old internal conflicts taking place in the country, which have led to the breakdown of the national economy. Citizens in the southeastern desert region of Kufra are lacking health care in the city’s hospitals, which are unable to provide the most basic treatments due to the deficiency of medicines and medical supplies, not to mention the environmental state which is a contributing factor in bringing out severe diseases. Health professionals in the health sector are sounding the alarm over an environmental and health disaster there, demanding the state to take a quick action.
