Syria – SDF expand their battles against ISIS in eastern Syria

After violent clashes in the village of Baguz in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour east of Syria between the Syrian forces supported by the international coalition forces and ISIS, the forces were able to control the center of the village of Baguz Foqani after taking full control of the village of Baguz Tahtani, and they were able to advance in three axes parallel to the Euphrates River in the direction of Al-Susah, Al-Hajin and the Iraqi border, to expand the scope of the clashes on the river. This comes as part of the final phase of the Island’s Storm campaign, which aims to end the existence of ISIS in the north of Syria.
