The rise in the prices of foodstuffs in the city of Benghazi, the second largest city in terms of population, remains an obstacle for the people of the city to achieve a standard of living that meets their minimum aspirations due to the lack of liquidity and economic distress in Benghazi. In spite of the provision of commercial banks in the city solutions to this problem through the provision of prepaid cards of the systems of “MobiCash and pay me” to provide their needs of goods. But it was a curse on a large proportion of them that increased the problem suffered by the population and oblige them to buy goods and food at high prices.
