Libya – Tawergha city prepares to receive its residents
Tawergha – Libya 10/7/2018
Preparations started for the return of the displaced to their homes in the city of Tawergha in northern Libya. However, the agencies have been able to achieve major achievements in the coastal road lighting for the first time in seven years and to equip the field hospital with all its medical equipment to be ready to receive patients. In addition to opening a local council office that provides services according to the available resources and its main task is to receive the residents and register their names. The head of the Tawergha local council, Abdul Rahman Shakshak, referred to the latest information indicating the arrival of about 1000 families in the city. He explained that one of the reasons that hindered the return of the displaced were the students’ exams which forced them to stay in their place of residence until exams were completed, as well as the closure of the road to the people in the eastern region because of Oil Crescent events.
