Iraq – Residents of the Old City complain about the government’s slow pace of reconstruction efforts

The buildings and streets of the old city on the right side of Mosul continue to witness the aftermath of the war against ISIS organization. The piles of rubble are still covering the roads, and the people of the area are looking for ways to restore life to the oldest areas of Mosul where the rubble removal process and reconstruction is occuring at a slow pace that is disproportionate to the extent of the destruction that has been witnessed in the region. The people also called on government agencies and international organizations to support their areas, rebuild them and provide them with basic services.
