Iraq – International projects for the rehabilitation of monuments destroyed in Mosul

A government delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities has joined representatives of international organizations to the city of Mosul to launch international initiatives to rehabilitate and revive the cultural heritage of Nineveh province. The UAE-France initiative is one of the most prominent of these initiatives, which will start work in the Mosul Museum and the urban city, as well as the reconstruction of Al-Nouri Mosque and Al-Hadbaa minaret. The delegation was briefed on the archaeological sites and cultural and historical landmarks in Mosul, which were destroyed by ISIS organization during their control over the city.
