Yemen – Warnings over collapse of health system in Taiz

The Health Ministry official in the city of Taiz warned of the collapse of the entire health system in the city with the onset of summer, as a result of the poor condition of hospitals in the city and the increase in the number of malnourished patients due to epidemics and the spread of garbage and open sewage within the neighborhoods of the city. Hospitals in the city suffer from deteriorating health services because of the acute shortage of medicines and medical supplies. He called on the health authorities and the legitimate government and international organizations to save the tragic situation in Taiz.
