Fears from the collapse of Mosul Dam in Iraq
Mosul Dam is one of the largest Dams in Iraq and needs annual injection with materials to hold it since it is threatened to collapse.
There has been warning from the collapse of Mosul Dam which was built in the 80s, 50 kilometers away from Northern Mosul on the Tigris River and it is considered one of the largest dams in Iraq of 3200 meters long and 131 meters high and it holds a large amount of water of ten billion cubic meters.
In a press conference held in Mosul Dam by Nineveh governor Noful Alagoub stating that the situation is stable and there is no need to worry and he also mentioned that needs to the dam in order to continue its purpose of work.
