The commercial markets in the Kurdistan region are witnessing remarkable activity. The trade movement at the border crossings has not been affected by the announcement of the referendum on independence scheduled for 25 September. Traders continue to import all materials from neighboring countries and other countries by land and air. There is also no fear of the closure of the border by the neighboring countries, especially Turkey with the referendum process, because Turkey is gaining great benefit from the market of Kurdistan and Iraq in general and it is not in its interest to close the border.
