UAE – Celebrating “Haq Al Laila” as an integral part of UAE heritage

Celebrating “Haq Al Laila” on the night of the half of Sha’baan every year is part of the heritage of the UAE passed on to the generations to celebrate this blessed day in preparation for the arrival of the month of Ramadan. The rituals of the celebration begin after the Asr prayer and end at the evening prayer, where children roam the streets wearing traditional attires and carrying bags specially tailored for this occasion called “Kharait” to collect sweets and nuts from homeowners
