Storyline:
Russian warplanes killed at least seven people, including four children, in an attack Thursday on a poultry farm home to scores of displaced people Al-Jadida village in the Jisr Al-Shughur area, west of Idlib.
Rescue workers from the Civil Defense known as the “White Helmets” said Russian bombers launched four air strikes, with at least fourteen people wounded, in addition to the seven dead at the poultry farm who were all members of the same refugee family.
The assault on the area, considered the last stronghold of the Syrian opposition, comes after weeks of relative calm and follows a summit Tuesday where Russian, Turkish and Iranian leaders pledged to work to end the conflict in Syria.
