“The eighth gallery is a new experience. In each gallery, I present a new idea. I hold my gallery every seven or six years because I like to present something different. In this gallery, I present sixteen or seventeen paintings and eight works of bronze sculpture. I named the gallery “Vocabulary” because I have certain ideas to deliver. I like to present the beauty of my pieces and give it its special value.”

(SOUNDBITE) Nibras Hashem – Teacher at the Institute of Fine Arts and plastic artist:

“I lived the bitter reality of Bagdad during the seven years, the stages of changes; climatic, environmental, social, etc, as well as many transformations that affect the artist.”

(SOUNDBITE) Muhammad Ali Al-Zein – Plastic artist and member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate:

“Bronze sculptures have a wonderful technique. Even the shapes and themes that the artist chose are fascinating. Each painting has its field; the political environment, social environment, etc. The colors are different from the previous galleries, she tried even to color the Bronze sculptures works with an oxidation color and this is what sculptors often use.”
