Storyline

The 11th annual Khal International Festival kicked off at Sulaymaniyah, the capital of culture and arts, in the presence of reciters from Egypt; including Sheikh Yasser Al-Sharqawi and Mamdouh Amer, and from Iran such as Sheikh Hamid Ali Zadeh, and from Kurdistan; represented by Dr Cougar Omar and Sheikh Osama Yaqoub. The 2-day festival aims at encouraging people to read Quran, learn the Islamic faith, and Tajwid rules

Under the supervision of the Youth Activities Development Organization in Kurdistan, Khal International Festival was launched with the attendance of reciters from Egypt, Iran, Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and in the presence of the Islamic preacher Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Ratib al-Nabulsi. The aim is to promote the culture of reading the Quran in the Kurdish society

  God says “Those to whom We have sent the Book study it as it should be studied” which means that Quran should be recited according to the rules of the Arabic language.  One should understand Quran. I really admire this country for holding such festivals.
