Palestine- A Group of People with Special Needs Drew a Massive Mural in Rafah

In an attempt to shed light on the struggles of people with special needs, Friends Society for People with Special Needs launched an initiative of painting a 15-meter mural in one of Rafah’s streets. Under the theme ‘Our country is greater with our youths’, a group of youths with special needs painted a mural, reflecting their agony, needs, and rights. The aim was to convey a message to decision-makers as to draw attention to their legitimate right of being part of society. The head of the society, Saed Barhoum illustrated that the youth initiative of painting a massive mural along with other drawings was undertaken by a group of people with special needs to draw attention to their dilemma so as to be granted the opportunity to live a normal life.
