Tunisia- New Political Movements Emerge to Replace Ruling Political Parties

 As Tunisian President Kais Saied’s exceptional measures take effect, Tunisians underscored the fact that they have no confidence in political parties, indicating that their political role is on the wane. Therefore, new political movements are emerging, whom many believe- have filled the political vacuum left by the ruling parties. The journalist and political expert, Fadel Hayashi stated that with the new presidential measures taking effect, the political arena has witnessed some changes. He added that during the last ten years, political parties hadn’t had a tangible role despite holding high positions in the authority, paving the way for new movements to emerge.
