Syria – “Helat” Syrian institution for rehabilitating children off extremist ideology

The Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria opened, at the initiative of the Women’s Protection Units, which is a faction of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the Helat Center dedicated to the rehabilitation of ISIS children of various Arab and foreign nationalities to keep them away from the extremist ideology that their families planted in them. The center contains more than 55 foreign boys and girls of different age groups, as well as many supervisors in charge of raising and rehabilitating these children, who have experience in this field. According to the center’s supervisors, most of the ISIS women are working to educate their children with the organization’s ideas to prepare them to carry these ideas in the future.
