Iraq – Caricature Art Gallery Embodies the Suffering of Nature in Kurdistan

In the city of Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan, Cartoonist Bakir Abdul Rahman opened his twelfth gallery under the name ‘Stop Killing Trees’ Where the gallery lasts for a whole week, in which 60 paintings were displayed that express the importance of preserving trees, nature and the environment since they are the considered the lungs of Earth. Using color spaces and indications the artist could express that the environment in Kurdistan is in danger, and through the gallery, the artist Abdul Rahman wanted to send a message to the government and citizens to be responsible for the destruction of nature and to stop cutting trees and the neglect trees have been subjected to in recent years.
