Iraq – Popular optimism about the results of the Iraqi parliamentary elections

34

The Iraqis’ reactions continued after the results of the initial elections, carrying a kind of optimism that new names won parliamentary seats in the new Iraqi parliament, hoping to correct the previous wrong paths and enact laws that touch the concerns of the citizens and go towards reform and change. The Iraqis demanded that services, construction projects, and reconstruction be provided. Citizens made it clear that the political blocs that didn’t win should learn from the voters’ abandonment of their choice due to their inability to achieve what they aspire to.
