The “Adhamiya Reads” festival kicked off in Baghdad, including cultural activities, plastic works, and various artistic paintings of historical and heritage figures. The festival came with voluntary self-efforts and an initiative in which media professionals participated along with a wide Baghdadi presence, where three thousand free books were presented and distributed in various scientific, political, human, and literary development fields, including novels, poetry, and stories. The organizers of the festival stated that the purpose of holding such events is to spread the culture of paper reading away from the virtual world that the young generation has moved away from today in Baghdad.
