Mongolian- NGOs to protest against China’s assimilation policy in Inner Mongolia
In recent years, the Chinese government has made a sharp shift to the policy of assimilation of national minorities. An example of this is the government’s intensive promotion of classical Chinese culture, its sharp rise in Han nationalism, and its restrictions on the languages, cultures, and religions of the Tibetan and Uighur minorities.
