Palestine – Eye on Gaza’s past through its oldest photographer

81-year-old Palestinian photographer Abu Hisham Al-Hindawi is one of the pioneer photographers in Gaza Strip. Abu Hisham owns old cameras, some of which are more than 60 years old Abu Hisham still keeps his cameras, which he bought at the beginning of his career and accompanied him throughout his life. During his photography career he could travel to many Arab countries, including Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Abu Hisham explains how photo filming and developing needed several stages in the past. The elderly photographer tells that he used to wake up every day in the early morning, wandering the streets of Khan Yunis and its seashore, to capture all the beautiful shots he could, the shots through his lens reflects the joy and suffering of the people, , to become a window overlooking on the world from the heart of Gaza.
