Afghanistan – Afghan displaced appeal to the international community

82

Afghan people in the displacement camps appealed to the international community organizations to provide emergency aid, especially as winter approaches. One of the displaced from the Badakhshan district in Kabul complained that they had not received any aid or government support since the Taliban took control of Kabul, adding that there are thousands of families are severely suffering as a result of a shortage of food and loss of shelter. United Nations figures show that about 18 million people, or more than half of the population in Afghanistan, depend on humanitarian aid.
